At Everglow, we take our stewardship seriously β€” not just spiritually, but legally and ethically.

Every dollar you give is allocated according to:

  • Australian charity law (ACNC Act and relevant trust law)
  • ATO compliance (especially regarding DGR funds and income tax exemptions)
  • Biblical principles of stewardship, integrity, and public benefit

So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God." β€” Romans 14:12

We honour that responsibility by maintaining strict funding boundaries β€” not just to protect our mission, but to ensure every donor and ministry partner can trust us fully.

βœ… What We Will Fund

🧍 Through the Everglow Benevolent Foundation (DGR-Endorsed):

We fund programs that are:

  • Exclusively for public benefit
  • Addressing serious disadvantage or distress
  • Accessible regardless of faith, background, or belief

Examples include:

  • Mental health support and trauma recovery
  • Housing and food relief
  • Support for refugees, migrants, and victims of violence
  • Youth mentoring and education programs
  • Disability and aged care assistance

πŸ’‘ All projects are delivered in accordance with ACNC’s definition of public benevolent institutions (PBIs). No evangelism or spiritual conditioning is permitted using these funds.

✝️ Through the Everglow Ministry Trust (Religious Charity):

We fund ministry activities that are:

  • Overtly spiritual and gospel-centred
  • Conducted by Christian individuals, churches, or ministries
  • Aligned with Biblical teaching and our statement of faith

Examples include:

  • Church planting and missional expansion
  • Evangelism and public gospel outreach
  • Ministerial training and discipleship programs
  • Support for local or overseas missionaries
  • Production of Bible-based content and Christian teaching resources

πŸ’‘ These projects are not eligible for tax-deductible giving but are fully exempt from income tax under our religious charity registration.

🚫 What We Will Not Fund

Regardless of the source (Foundation or Ministry Trust), we do not fund:

❌ Private Benefit

  • Payments to individuals or families without proper charitable eligibility
  • Personal expenses, inheritances, or enrichment of trustees/directors

❌ Political or Campaign Activity

  • Campaigning for or against political parties, candidates, or policies
  • Lobbying or political activism outside the bounds of charitable advocacy

❌ Doctrinal Division

  • Projects that promote division, conflict, or theological extremism
  • We work across denominations, focusing on shared gospel essentials, not doctrinal disputes

❌ Mixed-Purpose Projects Without Clear Separation

  • Any project that blends spiritual and social objectives without separate funding streams
  • For example: a food relief event that includes preaching, unless funded in a compliant split between Foundation (food) and Trust (gospel)

❌ General Cash Gifts

  • We do not offer untracked cash grants. All funds must support approved and reportable projects with receipts and oversight.

πŸ” How We Keep It All Compliant

  • Each project is reviewed against our funding policy and ACNC/ATO guidelines
  • Shared-impact projects are split and reported separately by entity
  • We maintain independent governance, financial systems, and bank accounts for each entity
  • Annual reports and financials are available to stakeholders and the public

πŸ™ Our Commitment to You

We will always:

  • Be clear about where your gift is going
  • Say "no" when it's not aligned with our purpose
  • Honour God, the law, and your trust in us

β€œWhatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.” – Colossians 3:23
